Terms of Service

These terms describe the BranchToBrowser founding pilot. This is a plain-language pilot version and should be reviewed before any wider public launch.

1. What the service is

BranchToBrowser is a bounded shipping service for eligible public front-end repositories. For $19 flat, one time, we attempt to build, repair, document, and deploy one eligible repository, and deliver a live link, a README, a patch summary, and a project page. It is not custom development, and it is not hosting forever.

2. Eligibility — checked before payment

Eligible repos are: public GitHub repositories; Vite / React or statically exported Next.js; able to build without private credentials; and front end only. Private repos, databases, user accounts / auth, custom backends, paid APIs requiring secrets, and secret-dependent builds are ineligible. Ineligible repos are rejected before checkout and are not charged.

3. What you get

4. What you do not get

Ongoing maintenance, monitoring or uptime guarantees beyond the hosting terms, rebuilds, custom code or feature work, private-repo work, database or auth work, and migration labour beyond the documented README instructions.

5. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own the repository or have permission to submit it, that you authorise a temporary clone and minimum build changes, and that the repo contains no secrets, passwords, tokens, or keys. Never submit secrets, in the repo or in any form.

6. Payment

$19.00 USD flat, one time, per eligible ship. There is no subscription in v1. During the founding pilot, a payment link is provided only after your repo passes manual eligibility review. One charge per job.

7. Repairs and refunds

For an eligible paid job, we make up to 3 focused repair attempts. A job only counts as shipped when a real build artifact (dist/index.html or out/index.html) exists and the live link loads. If an eligible paid job cannot pass those gates after 3 attempts, you receive an automatic full $19 refund. See the Refund Policy. If a repo is correctly rejected before payment, no charge is taken, so no refund applies.

8. Changes to your code

Only the minimum changes needed to build and deploy. No refactor, no behaviour or feature change. Every change is listed in the patch summary with exact versions.

9. Hosting

You own your code at all times. The delivered deployment is hosted for 90 days from delivery, then it is removed unless you have migrated using the README and deploy instructions provided. Full detail: Hosting & Ownership.

10. Prohibited use

Do not submit malware, mining, phishing, illegal content, or other people's code without permission. We may refuse or stop a job that violates eligibility or the law.

11. Support

Pilot support is one route — support@branchtobrowser.com — for broken delivery only (for example, a broken live link within the hosting window, a missing README or patch summary, or a refund not received). Target: acknowledge within 1 business day, resolve or refund within 3 business days during the pilot. Feature requests and custom development are out of scope.

12. Service provided as-is

The service is provided as-is during the pilot. No uptime guarantee is offered beyond the hosting description on this site. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
