Hosting & Ownership
This page appears at checkout and in every delivery email, so there are no surprises about who owns what, or for how long.
Short version: You own your code. We host the delivered deployment for 90 days. Then you migrate it to your own host using the README and deploy instructions in your delivery. We do not promise “forever” hosting for $19.
1. Who owns what
- Your code is yours. BranchToBrowser claims no ownership of your repository, your code, or your content.
- During the 90-day hosting window, BranchToBrowser manages the deployment slot that serves your delivered build, so we can keep the live link working and fix a broken delivery.
- You may migrate at any time — your README contains the verified build and deploy instructions, and nothing about the delivery locks you in.
2. Hosting window — 90 days
The delivered deployment is hosted for 90 days from the delivery date stated in your delivery email. There is no auto-renewal and no additional charge for the window.
3. What happens at expiry
- After 90 days, the hosted deployment is removed.
- Your README, patch summary, project page content, and deploy instructions remain yours — they are part of your delivery, not hosted-only files.
- If you have already migrated to your own host, expiry changes nothing for your own deployment.
4. Migration path
Every delivery includes a README written from the verified build, with:
- Exact install and build commands (for example,
npm ciandnpm run build) - The exact output location (
dist/for Vite,out/for static Next.js) - Step-by-step deploy instructions for a static host of your choice
- The patch summary, so you can apply the same fixes to your own copy
Migration labour itself is not included in v1 — the instructions are. If you get stuck on a delivery that does not match its README, that is a broken delivery: contact support.
5. Uptime
There is no uptime SLA in v1. During the pilot we check delivered links for breakage and report problems we find, but we do not guarantee a percentage uptime. If your live link breaks inside the 90-day window, contact pilot support and we will fix it or refund the job.
6. Support
Pilot support (broken delivery only): support@branchtobrowser.com — target: acknowledge within 1 business day, resolve or refund within 3 business days during the pilot.
